Thursday 6 September

I've been juggling and muddling my way through the last week or so. I enjoyed speaking at the Fairfield Bookfeast - what a celebration of reading and writing that event is every year! And the drama workshop at Manly West was fun. I challenged them to many things, including tongue twisters. Try this one I made up just for them:

The chef sips sherry.

Say it 3 times, fast!

I've just about finished CHOIR boy - the story is taking a few unexpected twists and turns as I write. As I say in writing workshops, go with the flow!
The Singing Stones and Grizzly have just been published in Europe. I received my author copies this week. Sarah Davies's illustrations are fantastic.

I'm also writing and shaping monologues for Solo Dramas - it's a real joy to write them. I can't wait until September 23, where some of them will be presented at the Writers on the Rooftop.
